Another permissions question

I have set KDE to not allow users to access each others files but of course it is not working so what is the correct way of setting permissions to disallow users to access each others files? I set the permissions but I didnt do it right and i had to change it back. Thanks

Try using chmod from the command line. Not as nifty as using KDE's little graphical thingy, but it works.

The man pages for chmod are pretty easy to follow.

Good Luck

It's a matter of ownership and permissions ...
Try setting the permissions with this statement ...
chmod -R go-rwx /home
That will leave any permissions for the owner
untouched, and strip all for group and others.

Cheers,
