anonymous proxy server

i wan to do the following

I have a linux box at home (RH9) and I travel a lot carrying my laptop (FC3)

In the meeting rooms now frequently internet access is provided either by cable or wifi.

Now, sometimes I want to access to www sites and I dont want to know the host of the meeting where i surf to (logged by their firewall), nor to have the address of my temporary host logged at the website.

My preferred solution would be to install an anonymous proxy server on my linux box at home and connect through this one to the remote site. I also run a firewall using IPtables with fwbuilder. Of course the IP of the laptop changes each time being DHCP in he meetings

Anyone can help here ? Im not a newbe but I cant see how to do this

thanx in advance

Easiest way I can think of would be to set up a proxy server on your server at home, and then access your server from the meeting site. We did this all the time in high school so we could look at newgrounds.com

So long as your server is CGI enabled and accessable from the internet (made possible by http://no-ip.com) you can do an automatic install at http://install.xav.com/?p_product=cg...action=Welcome
