annoying windows at startup

hi everybody

for some reason, every time when I boot up some window that I have been working with before(several bootups earlier)always come up. windows like filemanager and bash etc. so I have to close them down all the time when I start the computer. how do I make those windows go away?

thank for the help!

My KDE is setup to save sessions, so whatever was open the last time I logged out is what comes back up. So one option may be to just close everything down, then logout and log back in. Not sure what it keeps if you use the shutdown/reboot in the gui. I always use sudo reboot when I reboot and it comes back up like yours, whatever was up on last log out (not whatever was up when I rebooted).
