And you put LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 /usr/local/bin/sc3u and voila! Wait What?

Okay, did all the steps to setup sim city 3000 and it still doesn't work.

****@ubuntu:~$ LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5 /usr/local/bin/sc3u
/usr/local/bin/sc3u: relocation error: /usr/local/bin/sc3u: symbol _dl_global_scope, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

I don't get it. I have GLIBC 2.2 and the libraries. It just doesn't make sence. Any Ideas?

There is an update patch for the simcity game and when you run the update patch, it will proably fix the problem. At least, that is what I had to do.

The patch is here:

sorry, wasn't clear. All the steps including the patch, but I fixed it. for some reason the patch was installed in my home folder for some apparent reason. did the patch again and it worked. Also got it to work just by typing sc3u(forgot which site i got how to do it from though)thanx
