An Interesting thought
Ok, how about this:
Say I'm stuck with a site that ONLY works on winbloze (example: www.homestead.com) as described in my other post. Lets say I wish to run IE to force it to work. Of Coarse Wine will not run IE (already tried). But what about this: What if I install VMWare for Linux, and make it emulate Winbloze 2k. Then use IE to try it? Yes I know I know you're going to backfire at me for wasting so many processor cycles, but as a concept, is it possible? NOTE: I could not get Vmware to work properly. hey require aa serial and install a whole bunch of things on the PC that you don't want. |
what do you mean by "emulate" ?? vmware doesn't emulate a single thing, it DOES run windows in a very genuine sense.
and yes, if you sort out networking you obviously can do it that way. oh and while i'm here "An interesting thought"? not a useful title... how about "does IE run under vmware?" much better. please try and use relevant titles. |
Dear Acid. Sorry for the title. I should know better since I'm a moderator in another forum. I appolgize for that. Feel Free to edit the title if you want :D
Hmm, runs windows genuinely? interesting... The only thing I don't like about it is that troublesome serial business and the fact that it messes with your system and its configuration. Thanx for the reply Acid :D |
