this ant helping me
i am useing mandrake 9.1(the newest one out )
and i did all that shit and it dont make the "libtray.so" file

I can't understand it - if you have all of the libraries and execute the ./configure and make from .../plugins/traydock/ the libtray.so should be in the traydock folder. I did exactly as the instructions say: extract the amsn program and run the ./configure and make. I can now dock the app.

Okay I am using Mandrake 9.1 also, if you have Imlib and Imlib-devel installed, you will need to install and satisfy the dependencies of the following file:

libgdk-pixbuf2-devel-0.22.0-1mdk

There are 3 other dependencies, I'm not sure what they are I just used URPMI to install libgdk-pixbuf2-devel-0.22.0-1mdk, one of the dependencies was XFree86-devel.
