Amorak, XMMS and Juk Juk not working
Hi
Could anyone please help. I have just installed Suse 9.3 and the above programs will not work. When I click on a song to play nothing happens. The only music player that works is Real Player (which I hate).
Thanks in advance.

File: Multimedia-Option-Pack-2-52099 26 KB 06.04.2005 21:11:00
File: Multimedia-Option-Pack-3-52082 25 KB 06.04.2005 11:12:00
File: Multimedia-Option-Pack-4-52098 35 KB 06.04.2005 21:10:00

Now follow this:
1. Menu=>YaST=>Install and Remove softwares
Remove Amarok, XMMS, Xine, Beep
2. Update with YOU
Grab multimedia packs 1., 2., 3., 4
DO NOT UPDATE KERNEL PATCH YET!
3. Add Guru RPM to sources
http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/suser-guru/rpm/9.3/
4. Install from network (guru RPM) all multimedia softwares which you removed earlier
5. Logout=>Login

Ok, please be gentle as I have just come over from Windows.....
I run the YAST Online Update and it gives me no options for the above multimedia packs. Suggestions?
In addition, the link above - is that to be put in under a 'new source of installation'?
Thanks again!

When YOU opens all the pathes, scroll down to see the ones you need. DESELECT all the rest for this time and SELECT only Multumedia Packs

Thanks, SlackerLX. Everything all good now. However ....
I have 5.1 sound and the centre speaker just crackles. I recently bought a new sound card (Sound Edge) as my other card only gave me 2:1 sound with Linux.
Should I post something with more detail here or in the hardware section?
Thanks for your speedy responses and for being patient! Nice work.

http://slackercroft.freewebpage.org/#Sound
Play with switches, see what disturbs to have the clear sound.
Usually setting alsamixer as on page above will be fine.
