Amarok reporting wrong lengths in tooltip

The playlist says a track is 4:43, but the tooltip (from the taskbar) and slider (at the bottom of the window) says the track is 18:06

This happens with quite a few of my MP3s. Typically it's not a problem, but it's affecting the ratings that Amarok calculates for my tracks, and that's kind of annoying... even though I've heard the whole track, the stats report only 25% was listened to.

I figure this is an issue with either my driver, engine, or perhaps MP3s...

Anyone have any suggestions?

Has nobody else experienced this?

Usually the time is at least double the actual length... today I had one that was actually half the length of the song (it displayed 2mins and the song is 4).

Not all of my files are read like this, some are in fact determined properly...

Have you experienced this across multiple amarok version? Or only on the default one installed with SuSE 10.0? Try upgrading to amarok 1.3.6 from guru, see if the problem still occurs.

I finally got around to giving this a try...
Apparently I had 1.3.8-2 installed... Amarok's website doesn't say this version exists...

I uninstalled it and installed 1.3.1-7 and it seems to have worked...
Perhaps Suse did something funky to their install packages.

Thanks RedShirt!!
