Amarok: How to remove tracks from playlist without deleting

I can't seem to fin out how to remove tracks from My Collection in Amarok. I have tried changing the folders that it searches, and I have tried re-installing, but I can't remove any tracks without actually deleting them.
Running Amarok 1.2.2 on KDE 3.3.2

thanks

Have not used Amarok in awhile but I think it queries a folder for it's playlist each time it starts. It may be the only way is to remove the track.

This is a big reason I use mplayer, It uses .txt file playlists and are easy to edit with any editor.

After you have changed the directory it searches, try and find an option to rebuild the collection.

Sorted

I used my brain and deleted the contents of the following folder (except the folder with album covers): home/user/.kde/share/apps/amarok.
When I restartet Amarok it searched only the folders I had specified... But I still havn't found out how to remove a single track. Maybe one has to edit the collection.db. Who knows...

removing from the database and playlist are 2 completely different things

and there isnt really a point to removing it from your database as it is optional to add to you playlist.

options
1. Append suggestions however relys on song rankings
the faqs on thew amarok site say how i thinks its somewhere
/home/(your user)/.kde/apps/amarok
if you don't want to hear it give it a crap rating <10

or i have Amarok 1.3 so the score ranking is in the edit song tag dialogue.

2. http://kde-apps.org/index.php?xconte...ba91078782d80c
there i script i used to use that lets you ban invidual songs from ever being automatically added to your playlist.
Amarok Blacklist.

download it
in amarok playlist window Tools>Scipts > install Script
browse to script file (should be tar.bz2)

anyone know why amarok.kde.org doesnt work??
