amaroK / gstreamer plugin trouble

I am currently trying to install amaroK 1.2 on my fedora core 3 box...
i can compile gstreamer-0.8.9 fine, aswell as gst-plugins-0.8.7
but when i go to configure amaroK i get
Code:

==========================
 ===  amaroK - WARNING  =======================================================
 ==========================
 =
 = No GStreamer plugins were detected!
 = Without plugins you will not be able to play any media using the
 = GStreamer-engine! You need at least the MP3 plugin and a sink plugin, (eg.
 = ALSAsink). Please refer to http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/
 = NOTE: you will still be able to play media with another engine plugin.
 =
 ==========================
 ===  amaroK - PLUGINS  ========================================================
 ==========================
 =
 = The following plugins will be built:
 =   + GStreamer-engine
 =   + Konqueror Sidebar
 =
 ========================================================

Good - your configure finished. Start make now
The plugins compiled... i can run the tests aswell... maybe there are some flags need to append to the configure?
Also this is the final output after configuring the gst-plugins...
Code:
configure: *** Plug-ins that will be built :

Well it days you miss the mp3 or (maybe and) alsasink plugins at least. You can try to force compile those or at least you'll get an error if it fails (I think aasink might be the alsasink thing) . Run "./configure --help" in the plugins and set the options there. But why don't you use the FC packages. I hear you can just download them and install though it was supposed to be a hassle with dependencies.
