amarok crashes

Okay, this one is driving me crazy, and I can't figure out how to fix this. When I try to start amarok, I get a splash screen, and then it crashes with a segmentation fault. I have tried removing the amarok rpm's, and reinstalling it, but that didn't work out. I don't get enough information from the backtrace, but I also can't figure out which packages I need to get more debugging information.

I have been subscribed to development repositories, so I guess I have some unstable packages on my system, but don't know which ones. If anyone can help me out, that would be great.

So this is what I get: After starting amarok from Konsole, I get the following output:
Code:
henk@linux-bbdu:~> amarok
KCrash: Application 'amarok' crashing...
sock_file=/home/henk/.kde4/socket-linux-bbdu/kdeinit4__0
<unknown program name>(8407)/: Communication problem with "amarok" , it probably crashed.
Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" : " "The name org.kde.amarok was not provided by any .service files" "
The backtrace is appended as attachment. I hope someone can get some necessary information from it.

My KDE version:
henk@linux-bbdu:~> kde-config --version
Qt: 3.3.8b
KDE: 3.5.10 "release 32"
kde-config: 1.0

My distribution:
henk@linux-bbdu:~> cat /etc/SuSE-release
openSUSE 11.2 (i586)
VERSION = 11.2
Attached Files
File Type: txt amarok-20100624.txt (5.3 KB, 20 views)

Your trying to run a development software (newest unstable version of Amarok) in an old environment:
Code:
My KDE version:
henk@linux-bbdu:~> kde-config --version
Qt: 3.3.8b
KDE: 3.5.10 "release 32"
kde-config: 1.0
I may be wrong but i think the problem could be there. (old kde librairies).

This is weird.. I spend some time figuring out how to get more debugging information (the crash reporter said that the information was not useful). After installing the necessary packages, I had enough information to compare it with other bug reports. From there I got a possible link to xine. After removing xine-lib, amarok starts like a charm. My system is probably not completely stable, but at least I got amarok working. For 20 days, and then it's time for a complete new install from opensuse 11.3. I'll never install these development packages again :P
