alternate to nautilus?

When you use RedHat, and your in X (gnome), you use nautilus to browse for files. But say you wanna look int /dev which has on my system 7519 items, you get an error that says 'The folder "X" contains more files than Nautilus can handle. Some files will not be displayed.' That's all fine and good I guess, but I would really like to be able to see them all. In short, is there an alternate to Nautilus which can display more files?

You cna always try Konqueror. Chances are you already have Konqueror installed since it is the default file manager of KDE.

Just do Alt-F2 and type in "konqueror" without quotes, or type konqueror & at a console/terminal :D :)
