Alternate PDF viewer for complex docs?

Hi, I'm trying to use a PDF file that has dropdown menus and textfields somehow built into it. I suspect the fields are some sort of an overlay over the PDF doc. It was created by one of those expensive, proprietary PDF writers for Windows. I'm able to open it with xpdf, but the menus and fields are gone. Even in Acrobat 3.0 (old) for Windows 98, the menus and fields appear, but the text disappears after I click somewhere else. I have slow dialup and the latest Acrobat Reader for Linux and Windows is too large of a download. Any nice alternatives for Linux that might open this file? Thanks!

Newer versions of Acrobat reader are available for linux. Ghostview and Kghostview are also worth checking out.

Also check out xpdf, although I haven't used it for a while.

Hooray, I just remember I have a Knoppix CD laying around with a newer Acrobat Reader on it. Worked fine.
