I'am running fedora core2 and by default ALSA is used for sound output. I have always used the OSS emu10k1 opensource drivers from creative and liked it a lot! It seems like OSS emu10k1 is not supported in kernel 2.6. Is that true? I'am not satisfied with the ALSA drivers at all. I can't route input to output as i like and with the OSS drivers one could use both dsp and dsp1, so in a sense you got to soundcards. Anyone who knows if thats possible with ALSA? And if it is, how to configure it. It's also very annoying that one can't adjust the volume in one place, the master controller has no effect what so ever. PLEASE help me like the ALSA-drivers. Tell me something positive about it... I'am going crazy!

I'm interested in seeing replies to this too. I'm very new to this, and was only able to get alsa to work.
