None found? I'm going to check the alsa docs. What was your configure command when you were making the alsa-drivers?

i copied it directly off of the doc

./configure --with-cards=usb-audio --with-sequencer=yes;make;make install

im going to bed, its past midnight here and im sick (parents are telling me to also) thanks for all your help ill pick it up again tomorrow and see if i can fix it...i might try it on another distro too just to see what happens

Mmm, okay. Try 'dmesg | grep usb' to see if usb is starting up.
