ALSA doesn't like Rosegarden??

Ok, I've been trying to get Rosegarden (music compilation program) to work since last night, but at first I wasn't getting any sound, but the program worked...now, after installing the proper dependencies, and re-installing Rosegarden, it crashes right away!

I tried running rosgardensequencer and the first couple times it gave me an error that it couldn't start ALSA, but now that I want to copy the error message, it doesn't do it anymore.

Basically what happens is that the splach screen flashes on, then disappears and is replaced by the nice KDE error reporting system thing.

Help please

Its really not all that important that I get it to work, but I wanted to play around with it. I figured it might be a good thing to be able to use.

PS
I couldn't get other similar programs working either.
