Smile Akregator is not connecting to internet

Hi ,
I am using KDE version 3.4.0 Level "b" , in SUSE LINUX 9.3 . And this system is behind a proxy . I am a normal user and not a "root" user .

The problem is my akregator is not connecting to the internet . We use Fire fox and konquerer to browse and Thunderbird as email client . I thought of using Akregator as my news reader , but i cant find how to konfigure it . Can somebody help me sort this .

The akregator version is 1.0

akregator uses same settings as KDE, what makes you say that it isn't connecting and konqueror is?

The problem is with me . i didnt noticed the proxy configuration of Konquoror properly and so is the issue . Now i refreshed the proxy settings and all is now fixed . . thank you once again
