ajax and linux

does linux support ajax? since DCOM is used (is it not used only for windows?).

AFAIK ajax has nothing to do with dcom.

Sites that use ajax generally work fine in firefox in linux.

I think he's thinking about dcom and activeX, which is what MSIE depends on for AJAX techniques.

The rest of the world implements XMLHttpRequest in such a way that it is sandboxed in the browser and does not depend on system-level resources to pass data back and forth to the server. dcom and activeX are involved with Ajax only in the Windows world, and ONLY on MSIE.
