Question After unpacking a RPM where does it go?



I unpacked my files
mplayer-gui and mplayer-skins
but i don't know where/howto start the program

after you unpack the file with tar -zxvf or unzip you there should be a similarly name rpm. Then su into root, rpm -ivh filename.rpm and it installs. To find just type locate mplayer and to run just type mplayer

to install it is
rpm -ivh 'filename'
