ADSL configuration (Sagem f@ast 800 - Tiscali) Network driver? how do i configure?
I recenlty installed mandrake linux 10.0 as my operating system. everything is fine and great. Only problems i'm having is configuring my ADSL connection.
The way i have done it so far is; "new connection" selected "ADSL" then next page is asking me for a "network driver" and there is a large list which i need to choose from. I'm not sure which one. None of the names of the drivers correspond to anything from my connection settings or modem. How can i get a internet connection? Can someone explain to me? My provider is Tiscali - ADSL 512kbps my modem is a - SAGEM F@AST 800 Thanks, Lucinda :D :Pengy: |
How did you get Tiscali to read the windows file names?? Xine. I just read in a forum about how hard it is to get drivers for modems for linux as there nearly all windows supported. I have been tying to install for days and have a driver from "linmodems.org"(check em out for driver links) but am just going to hav eto get a linux supported.

(found on a french forum)
Mdk 10 doesn't have the right driver for Sagem Fast800. You have to download eagle-usb-1.9.5-4mdk.i586.rpm from ftp://ftp.ciril.fr/pub/linux/mandrak...-4mdk.i586.rpm or another mirror. Install the rpm then go back to the config tool in Mdk control center and it should work. |
