I don't think adobe has a linux version of it.. That doesn't matter, try with Wine to install it.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 does not currently work with any version of Wine. Take a look at http://www.frankscorner.org to see what versions of Adobe Photoshop do work. You might also want to look at the CodeWeaver's compatibility list as they run many M$SF programs very well (although CrossOver Office is not free, but it might be worth it if you need it bad enough).

Have you checked out the GIMP? I know it's not the same, but it is pretty similar.

As I understand it, Photoshop CS2 requires XP (no other version of Windows will do) and it also includes a phone-home activation thing. I may be incorrect in my recollections here, but if they're true I can imagine all sorts of issues trying to get it to run on Linux.

We don't discuss such things here. Talking about it is a good way to get this thread locked.

I promise you that Photoshop CS2 does not work on Linux as of yet. heartig is right, CS2 requires online/phone activation and requires XP (which Wine doesn't emulate very well). Your best bet is to try an older version of Photoshop, or learn Gimp. I like Fireworks and it works very well with CrossOver Office.
