Adobe 7 Font Substitution?

I received via e-mail a pdf file with electronic tickets from a major airline. When loading the file with Adobe 7.0 reader for Linux, it complains that it cannot find the font "Verdana" on my machine, and will substitute. However, the substitute font is just a series of small circles.

I then installed the Verdana font on my machine, logged out and in again, but no change. I'm running Xandros 3.

Is there a way to adjust the font substitution in Adobe 7 Reader? I tried the help file with the product, as well as the online help on the adobe site, with no success in finding out how to change font substitution.

I did manage to load and print the tickets with KGhostview, which rendered the fonts correctly, even though Verdana was not installed at the time.

Thanks.

Frank
