I am running KDE on a debian installation and want to use a package that uses GTK2. The package runs fine but uses a tiny crappy font that I struggle to read.
If I start the gnome-settings-daemon, the naff small fonts are replaced by slick gnome fonts and it looks great.
Unfortunately it also makes my dialogue boxes in other apps like openoffice gigantic and puts big gaps between characters when I try to print from konqueror (which I use a lot). I can adjust how the fonts appear on the screen with konqueror but the printed output is always the same.
I have tried adjusting the fonts through the KDE control center and can't find one that adjusts the tiny fonts in the GTK2 app, and I've tried adjusting the fonts through the gnome control center but can't find one that doesn't make my konqueror output take up twice as much paper.
