Different Linux Distro's use different options. In Mandriva 2007, YOU can use the Mandriva Control Center. Go to "applications", "system", "configuration", "configure your computer", and click on "mount points". IF YOUR system has the root image <Linux OS> on the last partition on the disk, add the space. IF it is an earlier partition, IMHO is best to back-up all data and then re-install the Linux Distro. There are other ways to re-size with this tool. It is up to YOU to determine how many times YOU want to move the partitions around. Good luck.
