Arrow Adding Dev Tools later on

IN RedHat 9

using System Tools (on a Gnome config)

I clicked Development Tools 34/46 selected
( by default gcc is included in this )

I click update…
The machine checks for “Package Dependencies”

Then says .. Packages Not Found; The following packages could not be found on your system, Installation cannot continue until they are installed. Unlocatable package- krb5-libs = 1.2.7-10 and openssl=0.9.7a-2

The Cd's were burned directly from the ISO download!

any ideas?
can i do it in the terminal?

I always suggest apt4rpm or Red Carpet (requires X or GUI to be running) for easier software management with dependency resolution.

I'd suggest installing the Kerberos and open
ssl libraries, and then try again? :)

Cheers,

Also, Red Hat used to have the gnorpm software gui manager. Did you try it?
