add arrows & text to photos

Hi All,

I've got a photo that needs some arrows with explainatory text. I fired up Gimp but it did not have native tools for the task. On the web I found the ArrowGFX gimp plugin at http://www.graphics-muse.org/sw/gfxarrows.html but I can't get it to compile for Sid (Debian unstable branch).

Anyone know how to compile this plugin sucessfully for Gimp 2.x? Know of another app with arrow and text capability? Any help really appreciated.

You could try idraw, I think that adds arrows to stuff then outputs postscript, not totally sure.
