acroread not available in extra (Archlinux; x86_64)

Hi all,

when I search in the database of Archlinux I get:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/13414/

This is Acrobat reader 8. But when I try to install it, pacman says it is not in the package database. A sync didnt help.

Could it be that this package is not yet made available for x86_64?

I am pretty sure it will just work... but because I don't have the locations of these files I cant try it myself.

Greetings

Adobe Reader is only available for x86 platforms. If Arch is multilib (should be if it's standards compliant) on x86_64, then Adobe Reader will work. You can download the package from Adobe's website. The acroread script has a misformed expression and you will need to fix it after installing. There are instructions here http://cblfs.cross-lfs.org/index.php/Adobe_Reader

I think the only thing archlinux has to do is add the x86_64 flag to the PKGBUILD.
I will try it and see how I can let those people know.

Thank you!

Edit: tried it but without succes.
