I open a PDF file with Acroread, and select some text, then paste it to Emacs,it works well.
However, after I select some other text in the PDF file and paste it to Emacs, I get the same content as before. It seems the content in "primary-selection" is not changed by the second selection.
Anyone else running into this problem or know a solution?
Many thanks.
YJhu
BTW:I'm using the latest acroread 8.
and the copy/paste works well in xpdf.
If you are using Kde and the klipper clipboard tool, select the text in the pdf and copy it, then right-click on the klipper icon in the system tray, and left-click your selection in the klipper history, then do the paste in Emacs. Make another selection from the pdf, and repeat the selection from the klipper history.

Gnome also has a clipboard manager.
Thank you for your reply.
The "select then paste" works well for other application such as xpdf.
There may be something wrong with my Acroread. Perhaps it was not installed properly.
BTW:I'm not using KDE or Gnome. I use FVWM as my window manager.
