From memory you'd need to set the subtitle track directly. The drop down box should contain a description of the language of the subtitle stream, so just chekc you have the right one. As for only having it in parts, that is totally down to how the DVD is designed in the first place. You could always look to download separate subtitle files from elsewhere online that might be more to your liking. Or stop being so darned lazy and just learn French, Cantonese and Arabic. How hard can it be?
