Question acidrip deinterlace

I have just been trying out acidrip to rip some dvd's.

It looks pretty promising, but there is one issue I'm having. The video looks like this when it moves (see the lines): http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/6...6282798jv1.png

A friend of mine told me this could be fixed by enabling deinterlace (That's what he does). But I don't know how to enable deinterlace in acidrip (My friend uses windows and virtualdub so he can't help)

Can anyone tell me how I can enable deinterlace in acidrip?
Or maby if my friend is wrong and I should do something else than enabling deinterlace then it would be good to know what I can do to get the picture right

Thanks in advance.

you'd want to change the vf filters according to the mencoder manpage. to be honest, i can't remember if it's before the resizing or after. i assume before, so it'd be a command in the pre filter section on the video tab.

Can you give me an example of how I should set the filters?
