Accessing SATA drive from Linux applicaiton.

Hi All,

I am working on an application to send the register based commands to SATA device. Currently I have an working application which will communicate with the ATA devices using "outb(DATA, PORTADDRESS)". Is there any possibility to use the same for SATA device?
