Ac 97 sound driver problem...

Hi all,

i am actually cross compiling a .wav player to the ARM PXA255 platform... It was working properly in the intel processor(i.e in system). But when i cross compile it and put it on the target board(PXA255) it is playing the file very fastly(unclear)... the options in the player(bplay)for reducing the speed is not working on the PXA.
Then i tried simply giving like this on the target board environment

cp test.wav /dev/dsp

Then also it plays the same... Is this the problem with AC97 audio driver or the problem is with the hardware itself??

i testted playing the same wave file using the bplay on the system... it is working properly but on the board fails...

Please help me in solving this problem....

Looks like a driver issue. Submit a bug to the kernel dev team.

Cool

Is YOUR system Processor and/or Motherboard, Memory overclocked? Is YOUR Linux Box BIOS setup for maximum performance? Any BIOS settings maximized manually? Are YOUR Memory Modules "Extreme" Modules?
