About to reinstall linux


i removed a tv card which wasnt running with my particular setup of mythtv but it was working with V4L, on reboot linux has refused to load since then, am just not sure of what i will lose when i reistall it will i loose all my aps, i tried putting back the card but it still wont load it just gets to hardware initiallization and it doesnt move past that.

samnjugu - please disregard what soulxcavtor said. He posted his thread approximately 6 hours ago and is too impatient to wait for people on the other side of the world from him to see his thread. soulxcavtor, do not post crap like this on our boards.

samnjugu - can you post the output of dmesg (open a console and type in "dmesg" without the quotes). Normally the last 10 lines or so are what we need as it should show what is going wrong. As far as what you will lose, well it depends on how your partitions are set up. If you just have /, /boot and swap as reinstall will overwrite everything.
