About load balancer

https://www.datanyze.com/market-share/load-balancers/

Just found the above link , it is strange that Apache HTTP Server is the popular load balancer in the market .

F5 is well known load balancing equipment but not be popularly used .

Just would like to know :
1) Apache HTTP Server load balancer can be used in various platform ?
2) is it stable ?

thanks

It would be interesting to see what their methodology was for determining the load balancer in use was, as in many cases the LB in use can be transparent to the client.

Personally if I had to use something free I'd use HAPROXY as a load balancer as it's lightweight and can handle SSL termination as well.
