a2ps

Below are 2 very simple tests of the a2ps command.

thomas@hp8882:~> ll|a2ps -R
[stdin (plain): 1 page on 1 sheet]
[Total: 1 page on 1 sheet] sent to the default printer

thomas@hp8882:~> ll|a2ps -r
[stdin (plain): 1 page on 1 sheet]
[Total: 1 page on 1 sheet] sent to the default printer

Both commands result in one page printed on a portrait page. However, -r should print landscape. Help!

The stock a2ps comes with a default of 2 pages per sheet in landscape. Try using | a2ps -1 and | a2ps -1 -r to override to one-up and it will print portrait and landscape. The -r does't do much when 2-up.
