Unhappy a t&t korn shell 93


i download the at&t kornshell 93 and init i read the how to install but it sead to make a dir lib/package/tgz but you cant do that . how do i install the shell?

Where did you download the package from?

So your installing the ksh and following the directions here: http://www.research.att.com/~gsf/dow...en/SOURCE.html

If so, why can't you create that directory like the instructions state ? Do you have root access or not to create that directory ? If you ellaborate more we might be better help towards your question and understand your exact problem.

thankes for trying to help but i installed pdksh instead. that was a lot more easyer and there at that much diff
