simple but with playlist support and a graphic equalizer?? well that makes it NOT simple... mplayer can use winamp playlists, as can mpg123 i think. but i don't really think you want a simple player do you?

LOL

u really confused me

i meant by simple that its size won't be too big
and without options whcih i won't use but will take a space and memory while it is useless for me like editing mp3 track and changing from format to another and things like that

thanx for ur reply

Try mp3blaster, it's a Console based mp3player that uses ncurses to give you a sort of a gui, but it's lightweight, and works very well.

Cool

Nah, it means that it plays in console rather than X. No need for X.

Cool

Well, yes it would work in X, in something like xterm, konsole or whatever. But like Acid said, if you are using X then xmms is probably going to be a bit more for ya.

When all you wanna do is boot up, and listen to some music, then mp3blaster works very well. No need to jump into X, and very configurable. It's lightweight, so you could just give it a try and see if you like it.

But for X, yes, xmms.

Cool
