A question

Hi

I have d/l OpenOffice.org but it does not work. I could not install it to my user account though I followed strictly the steps in the manual, it always asks for some lib files that already exists in its directory.
Also, I could not make it work while root. And I could not remove it when I wanted as the window from which you choose remove never appears to me. How may I UN-Install it?

If you never installed, then you don't have to uninstall it, just removed the downloaded file.

And those errors you recieved, could have been some dependecies you may need or just even a bad download. How were you trying to install this, from within X, command line, details helps us out ?

Also, try to make help thread titles, we already know its a question... well hopefully.

I ran ./install from the temp dir I used to install the Open Office. I then had errors telling me that they could not unpack the files.
Then I realized I had to use ./setup
I set it up OK ( it said I did it sucessfully !)
but I could not make a workstation installation.
How may I?
