A Media Management Sytem (Windows Media Centre) for linux?
Has anyone come across a project that combines,
My thinking says it would probably be based on TVtime, Amarok and a video player (with database ability)? Play DVD My Movies Library My Music Library My Picture Gallery |
Have a look at Freevo, perhaps ?

From the Screenshot that looks beyond perfect I was expecting a half baked program. (which still would have been better that Windows MCE) :) im just a bit bummed they used mplayer and standard hdd Directory heirachy. instead of a database structure like Amarok for music. |
Freevo is vastly superior to TiVo:
1. Terms of use won't be changed at whim 2. No subscription fee! 3. YOU decide what you record 4. You decide what gets deleted 5. Broadcast flags blocking Fair Use timeshifting? HA! 6. You can add any functionality you like and post your hacks online without fear of being sued by a big evil company for violating your EULA (Tivo hasn't done that yet, but it's only a matter of time) 7. Don't like the GUI? Change it however you like |
