A Gnome 2.4 And PERL Question.

Hello everyone,
I am using FC1 with Gnome 2.4.

(1) I made a new panel and i add to it the "Main menu" ( Add to panel --> Main menu) and now i have an "Application menu" and an "Actions" menu. Well my question is how can i erase the history from the "Open Recent" sub-menu which is in the "Actions" menu ??
("Actions" --> "Open Recent")

(2) My second question is that i cant find any Perl IDE's. I Downloaded Komodo but i can not even get it installed,furthermore i noticed some restrictions. Any idias ?
The solution to this is by writing the code to an editor and compile it..each time ? ....no debugging..no breakpoints..without checking the values of the variables in ram ?
Well to me it seems very time consuming.

Thx a lot guys !
