_mmx_memcpy

I just installed Slackware 9.1 from ISO (bittorrent) then I removed the /usr/src/linux-2.4.22 dir, and installed a kernel.org kernel, configured, and compiled it. Then I tried to install the drivers from wlan-ng for my wireless Netgear PCI card. Upon trying to load the resulting module, I get errors about _mmx_memcpy and I have no idea where they come from.. I also got the same error with the STOCK kernel. Thanks!
