855GM OpenGL with Xfree86

Hello,

I have a laptop with Debian Sarge on it. I'm having problem to use the OpenGL part to work.
I'm using XFree86 4.3.0.1.
lspci gives
00.1 : Intel 855GM/GME Memory Control Registers
00.3 : Intel 855GM/GME Configuration Process Registers
02.0 : VGA compatible controller : Intel 82852/855GM
02.1 : Display controller : Intel 82852/855GM

I've tried a few things with no success.

If anyone can help,
Thanks

This may not be relevant, but do you have the i915 kernel module compiled? Or i915 support in the kernel? (this is different to the X module which is i810)

Well, this is what I have in my .config:
CONFIG_AGP=y
CONFIG_AGP_INTEL=y

CONFIG_DRM_I810 is not set
CONFIG_DRM_I830 is not set
CONFIG_DRM_I915=y

This weekend I tried the Mandriva , which has Xorg and OpenGL works on it.
Maybe I should switch to xorg if this is the only solution.. but I still want to try with XFree86

Thanks for helping.
