Arrow 3D Acceleration

which versions of which distrobutions support 3D accel? i read somewhere that Mandrake 9.2 supports it but older versions (<=9.1) do not. One of my friends has RedHat 9--does it support 3D accel? What other distro's support it and how do you know whether a particular distro supports it or not? And lastly, if a specific distro does not natively support 3D accel, is there a way to get it to work?

All versions of Linux support Xfree, which supports 3D accell. With some video cards it's harder to install then others, but it's possible on most every system.
