Unhappy 3com modem

hello!
I have a USRobotics modem install in my computer. I would like to know how can I save the modem configuration because I am kind of tired reconfigure the modem every time that I reboot it.
I want to know how can I make mandrake remember the modem configuration, which is: setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq 5 port 0xc000 autoconfigure
step two: ln /dev/ttyS2 /dev/modem

this is how my modem configure, and I want to save this command.

You need to put your config command in one of your startup scripts, unfortunately I can't tell you exactly there as I'm not a Mandrake user but have a look for something along the lines of rc.local in /etc/rc?????/ and add the line there. You shouldn't need to do the ln again, infact it should fail if you attempt it as you are making a change to the data on your hard disk which is obviously persistant.

HTH

Jamie...
