2-line message list in Kmail?

Hi folks...

I'm a Linux newbie (and loving it), but since this is software-specific, I figured I'd post it here rather than in our designated newbie forum.

I'm using Kmail and Kontact for my email needs, both of which I am impressed with. My problem is that my screen resolution is not great (1024x768) and things seems to display a little chunky in KDE, so it's difficult to get a good view of my email list with the reading pane next to the messages (vertical view). Something like Outlook's (or Pocomail's) 2-line message listing (see picture) would be invaluable. Does anyone know how/if that could be achieved?

Thanks in advance...

craig
