*Miniscule* Fonts in KDE on Mandrake

My fonts on the long in screen and in KDE are all exteremly small. Each letter is only a pixel or so high - there is no way to make out what anything says. In Gnome, however, everything looks great. I've run into this problem once before and was able to fix it by going into /etc/X11/fs/config and switching the line
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled,
with
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled,
Although I'm using the exact same version of Mandarke (v 10) as I was when this solution last worked, for some reason it's not working this go around. I would include a screenshot, but the fonts are so small I can't even operate KSnapshot to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

See, same happened to me.

First, check your "pixeling":
After login into KDE, issue this command on a console:
xdpyinfo|grep dot

You should get a number, probably 75.

Then edit /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers, and find the line which says:

:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X -deferglyphs 16

and add at the end ' -dpi 96'

:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X -deferglyphs 16 -dpi 96

Reboot; this will increase the size of your fonts, but I don't know how it will affect to your system the fact that you modified /etc/X11/fs/config.
