****Xine issue with Matrox DualHead*****

Hello there!
I have Xine which doesn't want to display on the second monitor. On the first monitor the picture works fine but on the second monitor it's the big blue

Any ideas ?

I don't think this is going to work. You don't mention what card you have but on my g550 I can only run video apps (xine, tvtime etc) on the primary head. Seems to be a hardware limitation.

Yeah that's right, my matrox dualhead card is also the g550 and obviously you have the same issue than me. Strangely enough, realplayer once was working fine on the second monitor but since then it's the same problem than with the other apps (xine, mplayer...). I wonder if there is not something to fix that.

It could also be that it has to do with xorg....

I got the impression from the matrox docs that it was a hardware limitation. However, I don't have the docs handy and can't quite remember what it said, so I could be wrong. I don't know anything about realplayer (how it works?). The problem is the XVideo extension, which xine/tvtime etc require. Maybe realplayer doesn't use that? I haven't got the g550 installed at the moment so I can't play around with it.
