[SOLUTION] Vuze 4.2.0.8 install (and maybe upgrade)
Hello :)
After a fresh installation of Vuze 4.2.0.8 on Slackware 13 32-bit I got the following messages on running it from the command line. As best I understand from Vuze's advice this problem is not specific to Slackware and maybe applies to upgrades to 4.2.0.8 as well as fresh installations. I have left some messages that may not be significant in case they are significant and to help people netsearching for this information. Code:
[snip]The problem was solved by following the advice at http://azureus.sourceforge.net/howto_linux.php, that is changing to the Vuze directory and running Code:
java -cp swt.jar:swt-pi.jar:Azureus2.jar -Djava.library.path=./ org.gudy.azureus2.ui.swt.MainBest Charles |
I would recommend using the torrent program Transmission. I've found that Transmission uses less resources than Vuze, is much easier to use and seems to have less bugs. I used use Vuze when it was called Azureus, but it seems that the more Vuze is developed the worse it gets.
