Hello
we experienced a rather strange problem at our school network. We have a Linux server running SuSE 7.2 and Samba 2.2.7a serving NT clients. Four days ago suddenly the network became incredibly slow and all shares with more than 10 objects in them stopped working completly, making the NT client give out a "error while connecting". Also copying files out of the few shares still working (those with less than 11 objects, we created some for trial and they worked until we copied an 11th file there) which are larger than 1.5kB does not work. The smb.conf is configured properly tho, the samba logs only show that the resource requested was shared and noone changed anything on the system.
Anyone has an idea why this could happen?
