hi,
i have problem in setting up posfix.
though i've successfully made postfix run as service and am able to use mozilla client to send mail. therefore i suppose the smtp setting is ok now this moment.
however, i am not able to receive mail through mozilla client( in which the problem should be resulted from pop setting. ) it reports message like "There's no new mail ..." on the status bar only without any other exception occurred (like cannot find host, etc.).
however, i find out that the service is running as background.

what else points i may miss in order to receive mail through mozilla client (or mua)?

you can't "recieve" mail through mozilla. it would be recieved before you actually read it with a mail client. postfix would recieve it if configured to do so, but then you still have the issue of how to read the email wherever it goes. are you looking in /var/spool/<username> mbox file for it? try sending a mail to yourself and looking at /var/log/maillog to see what postifx actually does with it. if there's nothign obvious, and you really do think postfix is set up, post us to output of "postconf". can you telnet to port 25 from a remote location?
